Terms And Conditions
General Terms:
HughesNet service is available in the contiguous U.S. with an unobstructed view of the southern sky, is not available in Alaska & Hawaii, and its usage is subject to the Fair Access Policy. Actual speeds vary based on the amount of traffic on the Internet, content on a particular Website, or by the overall performance and configuration of your computer. Stated speeds and uninterrupted use of service are not guaranteed.
Professional Installation is required. Monthly service fees apply. Taxes not included. HughesNet broadband and DIRECTV® television services, hardware, and installation are sold separately. Accessing DIRECTV programming and HughesNet services from a single dish requires the purchase of additional hardware.
Service Commitment:
HughesNet "Home" and "Professional" Plans require a 15-month Minimum Service commitment. HughesNet "Elite" and "ElitePlus" Plans require a 24-month Minimum Service commitment. If you terminate service prior to the expiration of the commitment, you will owe and your credit card will be charged Termination Fees as described below.
Termination: 99/99 Plan
If you cancel your order before installation, you will not be charged.
If you cancel service within 30 days of activation, you will be charged a $100 Service Termination Fee and a $400 Hardware Termination Fee. To receive a refund of your $400 Hardware Termination, you must return the modem and outdoor transmitter to HughesNet. (HughesNet will provide packaging and instructions on how to de-install and return the equipment. Returned equipment must be in good condition.) You are not required to return, and HughesNet is not obligated to de-install, the antenna, mount or any cables. If you elect to have the complete system or the antenna, mount, and any cables professionally de-installed you will be charged $100.
If you cancel after 30 days from date of activation, you will be charged a $300 Service Termination Fee, and a $400 Hardware Termination Fee and will not be eligible to receive any refunds.
Termination: Standard & Professional Plans
If you cancel your order before installation, you will not be charged.

Online Ordering:
YOU AGREE AND ACCEPT THAT HUGHES NETWORK SYSTEMS, LLC (HNS) IS AUTHORIZED TO USE YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR THE PURPOSE OF: (1) CHARGING YOU FOR THE UP-FRONT FEES REQUIRED TO RECEIVE HughesNet, INCLUDING PAYMENT FOR ACTIVATION FEES, HARDWARE AND INSTALLATION; (2) CREATING AN HNS/HughesNet CUSTOMER ACCOUNT; (3) CHARGING YOU FOR YOUR MONTHLY SERVICE FEES AND ANY HARDWARE OR INSTALLATION FEES THAT MAY APPLY.
Home Networking:
Home networking equipment is not included with your HughesNet System. For network setup, support and configuration, contact your network hardware manufacturer and/or operating system software developer (HUGHES is not responsible for home network configuration or management).
Please note that all computers on a home network will be sharing a single connection. Simultaneous use of high bandwidth applications by multiple users may result in degradation of download and surfing speeds, and are subject to the Fair Access Policy.
DIRECTV Service:
ACTIVATION OF DIRECTV PROGRAMMING MAY BE SUBJECT TO CREDIT APPROVAL AND REQUIRES VALID SERVICE ADDRESS, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, AND/OR MAJOR CREDIT CARD. DEPOSIT OR PREPAYMENT MAY BE REQUIRED. Offer may not be valid in the limited areas served by members or affiliates of the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC). Programming, pricing, terms and conditions subject to change. Hardware and programming sold separately. Pricing is residential. Programming fee for each additional receiver $4.99/mo. if all receivers continuously connected to the same land-based phone line. Taxes not included. DIRECTV services not provided outside the U.S. Receipt of DIRECTV programming is subject to the terms of the DIRECTV Customer Agreement; a copy is provided at DIRECTV.com and in your first bill.

HughesNet speed claims are based on download speeds of up to 500Kbps. Actual speeds vary based on the amount of traffic on the Internet, content on a particular Web site, or by the overall performance and configuration of your computer. Stated speeds not guaranteed. Dial-up service comparison based on standard dial-up connection at 28.8Kbps.
National Satellite is an authorized dealer of HughesNet services and Hughes products available in the contiguous United States. Equipment requires professional installation.
